Well, my cheap Wal-Mart "geek" calculator watch unexpectedly took a dump this past week, so it's now comfortably installed in the local landfill. In a freak turn of the wheel, I reached exactly 85,000 miles (136,794.24 km) on the car odometer as I pulled into the garage a couple of nights ago.
We watched "The Cutting Edge 2: Going for the Gold" (2006; Stepfanie Kramer, Oksana Baiul, Christy Carlson Romano, Ross Thomas) on fullscreen DVD recently. It's a good sequel to the original, even though the original actors aren't in it. (The replacement actors are a good match.)
Misti has painted the house interior over the past 2 weeks. Replacing the stock white walls are now the following colors: royal blue (master bedroom), banana yellow (kids' room), pink (extra room), burgandy (living room), and beige (kitchen). Very colorful! It's funny to see how color can increase or decrease the apparent size of a room.
We went to the 2006 Western Idaho State Fair yesterday in Garden City. Wow - lots of smells! (Bleh.) And the sheer amount of unhealthy food walking around on sticks was absolutely puke-forming. I couldn't believe all the people just going crazy over the "bucket of fries" and foot-long corn dogs. Combine that with the hot, steamy cow patties, and the sweaty B.O. wafting around, and it's quite the experience on a hot day. =)
