Tyler Sandler's BSU Tire Pie Juice

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving meal this year once again, prepared by Tyler and Heather, down from the lake. Here's a photo of the happy cooking pair:

Tyler and Heather

And here's a shot of Heather scooping up some of the delicious pie:

We also watched "Click" (2006; Adam Sandler, Kate Beckinsale, Christopher Walken, David Hasselhoff, Henry Winkler, Jennifer Coolidge) on DVD - a mildly hilarious film.

We recently got new tires on the car courtesy of Bruneel Tire Factory, a set of Hankook Mileage Plus II's (P185/65R14/85S). The car definitely likes the feel of them (as do we).

We watched the BSU/UNR college football game today on ESPN2. Final score: BSU 38, UNR 7. Wow, what a trouncing - ouch.

We also enjoyed some lovely Jamba Juice last night and this morning. I tried the Strawberry Whirl w/ Immunity Boost last night, and a Razzmatazz (no boost) this morning.

Ms. Ponderosa Dark

We enjoyed shopping at Penny Wise Drug Store yesterday, in the heart of old downtown Caldwell. To our surprise, it has a lower level! It's a great store with lots of unique items and gifts. =)

Last night we watched a couple of episodes of the old "Bonanza" (1959; Lorne Greene, Michael Landon, Dan Blocker, Pernell Roberts) TV series on DVD.

For my birthday, Misti got me some wonderful Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Squares with White Mint Filling. Mmmmm! Also received were "X-Men III: The Last Stand" (2006) on DVD, and a classic Ms. Pac-Man game console (with other included games, like Xevious, Galaga, etc.) Fun stuff!   =)

Atomic-Spiked Turkey

I sampled a Powerhouse Nutrition Power Protein Cookie (chocolate chip flavor) a few days ago - very nasty. I did, however, also get to sample an EAS AdvantEdge Essential Energy Fudge Brownie - it was quite tasty. Mmmmm. =)

A bunch of us at work also tried some Biotest Spike Shooter drinks, and they also are very tasty. Just don't drink the whole can all at once!

I've come to the conclusion that our atomic-synchronized clock was cursed - by Brad. Everything was fine with it until Brad starting making fun of it (in it's presence) - and I think the clock heard him. It just now has adjusted itself (apparently) for the end of Daylight Savings Time. How many weeks late? Bizarre. Thanks, Brad. (Not.)

We enjoyed a nice turkey dinner with Scott, Tawna, and Bryden Larsen on Saturday night. It was nice to catch up with them, and eat another wonderful meal handcrafted by Mist! As we came to find out, the marshmallow fruit salad recipe we served was originally from Scott's mom, Janice!   =)

November Catch-Up

We celebrated Jared's birthday recently with family, and he had a great time. He enjoyed running wildly through the Corn Maze in Meridian.

We recently surpassed 88,888 miles on our car's odometer. Halloween was very cold this year, and scary for Becky, so we didn't go to a lot of houses, but still managed to get lots of candy. Jared was Mr. Incredible, and Becky was a fairy princess. =)

BodySpace, at work, now has over 20,000 active members, woohoo! Becky's school had a fundraiser, selling tubs of frozen cookie dough. We sold enough tubs for her to earn a couple of fun prizes. =)

We've watched "Cars" (2006) on DVD a lot lately. It's a great, fun film, though, and a great addition to our collection. Jim Britain lent me the 25th Anniversary edition of "Pumping Iron" (1977; Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno) on DVD. Not what I expected, but a great film, nonetheless.

I had only tried out one USB portable app (Torpark) a few months ago before Brad recently mentioned that I should try the portable edition of Thunderbird, which I have now done - and love. Torpark (a portable Onion Routing version of Firefox), on the other hand, is just too darn slow to be actually useful.

Thunderbird, however, is great. I did encounter some initial difficulties getting everything set up (MSN mail proved difficult after an already existing Hotmail account - they share the same add-on module, but require different settings), but now that it's all working great, I absolutely love it! The beauty is that I'm running it off of my iPod Shuffle, not an actual USB thumbdrive, so I've got music, multiple email accounts*, RSS feeds, and newsgroups all on the same portable device. =)

In other news, I found myself making a cameo appearance in our online comic at work, Brawn's Gym. It's killing me! I enjoyed some Nantucket Nectars Squeezed Lemonade a few days ago. Mmmmm.

Becky recently won a free Personal Pan Pizza at Pizza Hut for meeting her reading goal at school. She ate ¾ of it herself! Later that day, we checked out the new Target store north of the freeway in northwest Nampa, by the stinky sugar beet factory. Very nice (the store, not the Nampa smell)! =)

Becky learned how to do the "YMCA dance" at a ward dance we had a couple of weekends ago. She was cute! I've now finished watching all of season 2 of the new Battlestar Galactica. Now onto the webisodes and podcasts... =)

In more fundraising news, the girls next door came around selling those $1 World's Finest chocolate bars. When I was selling these back in the day, they were a lot larger and thicker than they are now. They have more flavors now, but the bar is much smaller. =(
